German Casual is a combination of our ultra soft water, floor malted Bohemian Pilsner, Munich and Vienna malts. We then layer it with the subtle notes provided by Tettnang, Mittlefrau and Sterling hops. Whether you prefer to be hanging under the big tent, or rocking your Lederhosen in the beer garden, German Casual is the perfect companion.

Very nice three-finger head which dissipates slowly in a rocky fashion. Thicker streaks on the glass. Hazy, deeper amber color.
Malt forward nose with plenty toast notes. Minimal hop as expected.
Fairly dry for the style. There's also more notable hop, although still very mild, than the typical Marzen. The body matches the European versions of the style. The finish has a touch of caramel but it's still very dry leaving a moderately long aftertaste

Canned on 7/1/20
Pours a clear, deep brownish copper body topped with 1 ¼ fingers of fluffy, off-white foam; decent head retention leaves paper-thin islands of cap, a moderate, frothy collar, and chunks of webby lacing spread around the glass.
Aroma of floral, yeasty tones upfront invite fresh toast and black bread accented with bits of burnt sugar, then eases to clean, roasty malts over the middle; floral raisin into recurring yeast and bread crust fade into the close and round out the bouquet.
Taste opens with an understated yet robust brown and black bread wholly in sync with floral, yeasty tones; figgy and caramel undertones add a denser quality to the mid-palate as brown sugar, lightly smoked toffee, and a woody char mark the back end of the palate and linger past the swallow.
Mouthfeel brings a medium body alongside a moderate carbonation flattening over the palate, though a crispness remains consistently uplifting; delicately prickly mid-palate fades to a semi-dry finish and robust, almost charry lingering.
Bustling and active on the palate from start to finish, this Märzen leaves an impressive first impression, and though it does steadily show its edges over time, the overall product remains pleasantly quaffable with both an expressive malt profile and sporadic nods to the nuances present in the best of the style.
