Poured from a crowler with fill date 10-31-19 into a mug.
Look - Pours a cloudy violet with a lively and fluffy head that's short lived. My first experience with this style of beer, it's interesting.
Smell - Sweet and slightly sour berry.
Taste - Sweet and berry with a slight back end of citrusy and mildly bitter hops.
Feel - Thick and chewy body that goes down silky smooth with very little carbonation.
Overall - I don't know if I'll really pursue the style more, but this is enjoyable enough.

Poured from 750ml crowler into glass. Filled date of 8/31/2017.
Poured a murky reddish brown colored body, slight ring, and minimal lacing.
Aromatic berry milk shake smell. Berry taste, some sweetness, and slight IPA hop bitterness.
Slight burn with initial sip, mellows to medium mouth feel.
Tasty milk shake IPA, with lots of berry in the aroma and taste.

Look: Pours a purple with a pink head of about an inch appearing up too.
Smell: Considering the color, I expected this to be berry, but I get a lot of mosaic hops. Dank pine notes, and some tropical fruits.
Taste: I'm initially hit with the berry, and then the mosaic hits me. Berry, pine, tropical fruits, and then a finish reminiscent of Berry and something sweet. Probably the vanilla beans.
Finish: Slightly creamy, the beer has a medium full body, and a somewhat bitter finish.
Overall: I wasn't sure what to expect, I've never had boysenberry, but this is nice. Not anything I'd go wild for, but a good beer to try.

On tap at DM.
Off white head. Super hazy dark purple color. Hard to tell this is an IPA, but the boysenberries take over.
This is the first NE IPA I have had from MN that tastes like the real deal. Soft and juicy. Fruity, tropical. The hops are there, but there is no bitterness. It drinks incredibly smooth and packs so much flavor.
Very impressed with DM on this one. They nailed it. I hope this becomes a regular thing around here. Has to be one of the best ipas to come out of MN in a long time.
