Notes: Toasted coconut wafts from the glass, with a mixture of dark and milk chocolate. Hints of roast blend with the coconut and chocolate on the palate. Lactose additions increase the texture and body of this stout making it silky, rich, and smooth.

Poured from 750ml crowler can into glass.
Very dark brown colored body, with ruby edge highlights when presented to light. Tan head settles to ring and island swirls. Wispy strands of lacing.
Aroma is roasted malt, dark chocolate, and coconut flesh.
Taste really follows the nose, but slightly sweeter from the lactose additions. Chocolate is a mixture of dark and milk, with dark roasted malt, and the presence of coconut flesh (tastes natural, not artificial).
Thin to medium mouth feel, somewhat mouth coating.
Well done, natural coconut tasting milk stout.

A delicious chocolatey milk stout. My only complaint is that the coconut could have come through more in both the smell and the taste. Excellent beer.

From a jug-like growler.

A- Creamy tan head. Lace films above the body. Pitch black body. 4.25

S- Coffee and cream, light coconut. Sweet malty aromas. Smells like a sweet coffee drink. 4.25

T- Chocolatey with hints of toasted coconut and light caramel and vanilla. As it warms it tastes more or lactose and the coconut becomes more pronounced. 4.25

M- Milky and smooth with a light dusting of hop bitterness. Sweetness throughout. 4.25

Damn good and quite deceptive. Initially it seems thinner in body than I want from a milk stout and doesn't have the pop of coconut, but it slowly creeps in and seduces me. Excellent.

Poured from tap at Dangerous Man tap room into a clear pint glass.

Appearance: Deep dark opaque brown/black with a nice creamy tan foam head. Foam fades slowly leaving nice sticky lacing.

Smell: Sweet and malty with chocolate, coconut and coffee underneath. Like candy.

Taste: Take the already great DM Chocolate Milk Stout and kick it in the ass with some roasted coconut and you get the picture. Sweet, creamy, malty, chocolately goodness!

Mouth feel: Slick, creamy and sweet. Leaves a nice chocolate and coconut tang on the finish.

Overall: Yeah, not a bad thing to say about this. I like to imagine that this is what the gang drank on Gilligan's Island...because we know the first thing the professor did was learn how to make beer with all of those coconuts. A few glasses of this with Ginger (or Mary-Ann) on the side...the possibilities are endless.

Stopped in at Dangerous Man for a second visit and good to see the coconut milk stout on tap.
A-Poured into a proper imperial pint glass with a thin finger of a creamy dark tan head that hangs on for about half the ride. Very dark brown in color.
S-For a milk stout the toasted grain note is stronger than most-but in a good way as its not at all overpowering. Yes the aroma of chocolate and coconut is quite pleasant too. Nothing else matters-toasted barley malt and coconut win.
T-Luckily it tastes as good as it smells. A beautiful balance of roasted malts with a definite cereal and chocolate character, with creamy coconut with just the right amount of sweetness. MALTY.
M-Nice rich, full body with a bit of creaminess. Moderate to high carbonation for a milk stout.
O-Liquid Almond Joy? I think so. A damn tasty, well balanced beer. The coconut is the perfect addition and takes the chocolate milk stout to another level. Rob makes full flavored, high quality beers. This is my favorite one so far.
