Aroma is fruit and sour hops/sugar. The flavor is citrus, fruit, wheat/malts, mild sugar/candy, somewhat oily and a slightly sweet/tart/hoppy finish.

Don't like or really drink sours or gooses, but I like this. I would pick this if I want one of those.

Most brewers have forgotten what the difference is supposed to be between a German gose and berlinerweiss. So, when a self described gose comes along and competent brewers like those at Prairie Artisan Ales nail the style, its a testament to the discipline that's still alive in the beer world. ...until they dry hopped it.

Pale, cloudy and shyly golden, Hulk Hands pours with a creamy blanket of froth that's uncommon to most sour ale. A bright and citrusy aroma provides a tangy scent with an herbal, tropical and wheaten array. Gentle sweetness skirts across the tongue with a notion of sourdough, saltwater taffy and lemon meringue.

While the sweetness slowly lifts, it carries away the bulk of breadiness along with it. And then the middle palate opens up to the brisk and briny acidity that boasts a blend of lemon, grapefruit, apple, white grape, green berries and kiwi that's partly due to the underlying and natural sourness of the ale and also the late hop additions. A pep of acidity decorates the late palate in a winey, cidery and refreshingly tart character overall.

A hint of sea air wafts above the senses throughout the session as the medium light ale trends dry in finish without becoming uncomfortably sour. With an afterglow of sourdough still holding firm, the bulk of flavors trail off long before the wheat or the brine.

12 ounce can into tulip glass, canned on 1/30/2019. Pours fairly hazy deep golden amber color with a 1 finger dense and rocky off white head with great retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of big sour/tart/tangy lemon, lime, orange, red grapefruit, citrus peel/zest, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, guava, berries, red/green apple, white grape/wine, sea salt, hay, straw, grass, wheat, cracker, and white bread dough; with lighter notes of coriander, peppercorn, pine, leathery/musty/lacto funk, white wine vinegar, and yeast earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of fruity/funky/acidic yeast, citrus/tropical hops, sea salt, and moderate pale/wheat malt notes; with great strength. Taste of big sour/tart/tangy lemon, lime, orange, red grapefruit, citrus peel/zest, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, guava, berries, red/green apple, white grape/wine, sea salt, hay, straw, grass, wheat, cracker, and white bread dough; with lighter notes of coriander, peppercorn, pine, leathery/musty/lacto funk, white wine vinegar, and yeast earthiness. Light-moderate lactic tang/tartness; light herbal/grassy bitterness, and yeast spiciness on the finish. Lingering notes of tart/tangy lemon, lime, orange, red grapefruit, citrus peel/zest, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, guava, berries, red/green apple, white grape/wine, sea salt, hay, straw, grass, wheat, cracker, white bread, coriander, peppercorn, pine, leathery/musty/lacto funk, white wine vinegar, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Fantastic complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/funky/acidic yeast, citrus/tropical hops, sea salt, and moderate pale/wheat malt flavors; with a fantastic malt/tart/tangy, and bitter/spiciness balance; with no puckering/astringent flavors after the finish. Light-moderate increasing dryness from lingering sour/tart/tangy, and bitter/spiciness. Medium carbonation and light-medium body; with a very smooth, moderately bready/grainy/acidic, fairly crisp, and lightly sticky/saline balanced mouthfeel that is fantastic. Zero warming alcohol for 5.9%. Overall this is an fantastic dry hopped gose! All around outstanding complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/funky/acidic yeast, citrus/tropical hops, sea salt, and moderate pale/wheat malt flavors; very smooth and fairly crisp/refreshing to drink with the mellowly acidic/tangy/bitter/drying finish; not overly lactic or salty. Amazing balance of juicy, vibrant, lightly dank Falconers/Cascade hops and Brett/Lacto complexity; with a nice pale/wheat malt backbone against acidity. Minimal residual sweetness from crisp dryness. A highly enjoyable offering, and spot on style example as expected. They always do a great job on the dry hopped sours.

Pours a beautiful deep golden/peach, minimal head, quickly receding. Smells fantastic - piney, salty, tangerine, wheat, this is a really nice mixture of aromas. Tastes great too - not too sour, balanced nicely by a wheaty/yeasty finish, with nice soft hop flavors, really getting tangerine here. Great gose, especially for the price.

On tap. Poured out a cloudy/hazy, straw-yellow color with a small, white head of foam. It smelled of wheat, pine and saltiness. Very salty up front with lemon and caramel.

this is an amazing example of the style, hoppier than the more traditional ones by a mile, but one of the better goses i have ever had to be honest. it has a ton of wheat character to it, earthy in the flavor, crackery but dry, and with plenty of round body, more than we usually get in the style, making this a bit more substantial overall. the sourness is spot on, tangy and lactic, lemony and really clean, more refined than other sours i have had from these guys, more professional. the saltiness is awesome, for one it goes beautifully with the acidity here, but it also adds an uncommon amount of flavor, to me it has watermelon rind and green olive characteristics, brine and vegetal components, drying tendencies and lots of minerals, really well dosed it adds a lot. effervescent carbonation and bacterial pucker cut through the richer wheat, leaving the palate tidy and refreshed, but also satisfied. the hops make it interesting at the end, some fruitiness and leafy greenness to the nose, but in the taste its all citrus, cotton candy esters, and bitterness, a unique complexion to falconers flight for me, mil spiciness to it as well is nice with the salt, and this ends up being one of the more robustly flavored and delicious gose types on the market right now. ill be back for more of this one...

Hazy pale orange with a dense meringue layer of foam, and drippy lace all around the glass. Surface coverage never breaks apart either.

Hoppy citric aroma, tangerine, grapefruit, a tiny bit of herbal eucalyptus.

Lime and lemon, spritzy tart and crisp, light hop note and oddly a hint of paper. A nice palate cleanser. Lighter side of medium bodied, clean dry finish. Great with heavier food, scrubs the palate. Overall this is pretty seamless.
