Pours thick and dark, a deep chocolate color with areas of jet black. 1.5 finger khaki head. Great retention with fine spiderweb lacing.
Huge vanilla aroma. Undertones of bourbon and caramel. Milk chocolate as it warms.
Taste is like the aroma, huge vanilla. Marshmallow-like but without the overwhelming sweetness. Nice bourbon and barrel notes. Get a bit of barrel like vanilla notes to complement the vanilla bean. Warmth brings caramel, milk chocolate, roasted malt, and cream.
Smooth, rich mouthfeel. Nice sweetness, but nowhere near syrupy. Bourbon is very noticeable but in a nice mellow way that complements the vanilla well.
Huge vanilla bomb, like Vanilla Noir on steroids. Smooth on the tongue. Would never believe this is 14%. Ranks among the perfect beers I been privileged to have.
