Brew: Prairie Artisan Ales – Marple Rain
Intro: 12 oz. poured into a tulip glass. Shared with a friend.
Appearance: Dark black color, minimal head. But some, maybe ½ inch
Smell: Barrel was up front, especially the Apple Brandy, Maple was in the background but still noticeable. Pecan presence was very minimal
Taste: .Followed along with the smell. Barrel was upfront. Love apple brandy. Maple was next, Pecans were discernable, Marshmallow got lost
Mouthfeel: Medium mouthfeel, medium carbonation and that really helped. Not thin, not chewy/chunky
Drink: Took our time as when drinking cold nothing stood out. As it warmed, it seemed to come alive more and the flavors expanded. It could be one that you could drink a couple in a session
Conclusion: Now that I’ve tried it would not hesitate to have another if it presented itself but I wouldn’t seek it out and probably pass if something else looked more appealing.
