Brew: Prairie Artisan Ales – C&C Marshmallow Factory
Intro: 12 oz. poured into a tulip glass. Shared with a friend.
Appearance: Dark black color. Nominal head. maybe ¼ inch. Minimal lacing as we drank
Smell: Cinnamon up front, Bourbon barrel next, little marshmallow way in the back
Taste: Followed along with the smell. Cinnamon very prevalent, tasted bourbon barrel next, and next to no marshmallow
Mouthfeel: Medium mouthfeel, medium carbonation
Drink: Went down easy, but it was one and done.
Conclusion: It was an enjoyable beer but it would be one and done for me. Cinnamon was too strong and dominated, was expecting more of a marshmallow taste and aroma since the title features the word “marshmallow”. It should be noted that we took the beer out and let it warm for probably 1/2 hour.
