Brew: Prairie Artisan Ales - Because Life is Short

Intro: 12 oz. bottle poured into a tulip glass. Shared with a friend.

Appearance: Dark black color, very little to no head.

Smell: BLIS maple syrup all the way. Barrel very minor.

Taste: Again BLIS all the way. Really kind of one dimensional.

Mouthfeel: Medium mouthfeel, very little carbonation. Not thin, not chewy/chunky but could use more carbonation. Not flat though.

Drink: The 12 oz. bottle disappeared quickly. Definitely a dessert beer although I think it’s one and done.

Conclusion: I’m happy to have had the chance to try it but not a spectacular stand-out. Prairie makes so many top shelf stouts. Try it if you get the chance.
