Appearance: Poured from 64oz growler into a small snifter. Color is a dark, jet fuel black. Looks silky and velvety. Absolutely no head.
Smell: Very sweet alcohol smell upfront. Finishes with a subtle roasted/burnt aroma.
Taste: Sweet roasted malts to start. Has a bit of a cloying quality to it. Finishes a bit boozy. Not as complex as I had expected.
Mouthfeel: Smooth, silky, and sticky. Lingers in the back of the throat. Very much like syrup, almost no carbonation.
Overall: Not so impressed with this. It looks beautiful but the magic stops there. The high ABV and balanced flavor is impressive but not my personal taste. The flavors fail to meet a high expectation.

Whiskey barrel aged beer. Has macadamia nuts and vanilla in it as well. Feel is a bit thin for my liking. Still a solid beer and enjoyable. Decent collab.
