On tap at Tulsa Brewpub location. "Imperial Stout aged in bourbon barrels with cacao nibs and vanilla"
Deep, cavernous silky black with a tall creamy beige head of 1/2 finger.
Dark fudge and slight coconut on the nose with maybe some nutty coffee. Molasses and fig as well.
I get lots of spit chewing tobacco on the tongue with some old oak foeder and slight dark fruit. It's kind of an oddity. I also get some slight bitter green vegetal note in there somewhere, like kale or romaine.
Feel is about as slick as motor oil on the fingers and burns the gums after the swallow leaving a thick parchy residue on the tongue. Very thick, moderately warming, incredibly slick.
Overall an interesting beer, got downright awful when it warmed up to room temperature. Not something I'd come back to but still glad I tried it. The barrel is there in a palatable whiskey burn only.
