Pours black with a dark tan head that disappears in seconds - or less. The nose is rife with the cacao nibs and there’s also a nice dose of the marshmallow and vanilla - and a nice boozy bourbon note as well.
The cacao is forward on the taste as well, and the vanilla and marshmallow are a delicious complement to that flavor, but there’s a significant boozy flavor that is very warming and works magnificently with the other flavors. There’s a lot going on here, yet there’s a nice balance. Kudos to Prairie for that level of execution.
The mouthfeel is full, but a bit soft for a beer of this gravity. Still, this is a style where Prairie excels, and Fluf’t is no exception.

Brew: Prairie Artisan Ales – Prairie Dawgz: Fluf’t
Intro: 12 oz. poured into a tulip glass. Shared with a friend.
Appearance: Dark black color. Minimal head. maybe ½ inch. Minimal lacing as we drank
Smell: Marshmallow and vanilla stand out. Bourbon brings up the back end.
Taste: Followed along with the smell. Also taste some chocolate. . First impression was this beer was blended well
Mouthfeel: Medium mouthfeel, medium to low carbonation
Drink: Went down easy and quick, I could easily drink another in a session. Too sweet for more than that
Conclusion: It was very enjoyable, one that I would certainly not pass up if I ran across it again. Probably would not search it out for a repeat but wouldn’t pass up an opportunity. It should be noted that we took the beer out and let it warm for probably 1/2 hour.
