Purchased a can of this at a local grocery store.

Poured into a tulip glass. Cloudy reddish pink color with a good effervescent white head and nice curtain lacing. Smell and taste of cherries. Nutty, mellow finish. Pleasantly sweet with a bit of tartness. Nice feel. Overall, a nice, mellow sour.

Look: It pours cloudy dark salmon with a white head. Head retention is very low.

Smell: It has some sugary sweet aromas with cherry. There is a strong cinnamon in the secondary notes with vanilla.

Taste: It has sweet cherry flavors with tartness and cinnamon. There is a low level of vanilla and hints of nuts.

Feel: It has a medium body with a somewhat tart aftertaste.

Overall, it's a bit sweet with interesting flavors.

A couple of twelve ounce cans were corralled and emptied into a clear glass liter mug. There's an overabundance of foam, so it took a few attempts to get all twenty-four ounces into the vessel. At least the sudsy mess receded quickly, so things could keep moving. The color is a dull mauve-amber and it's opaque. Only a little of the hue bleeds into the head, which is nearly stark white. The aroma is very pleasant, reminiscent of a cherry Danish, just a little more tart. It drinks nicely, with a good body for a fruited sour. The taste is OK, but the cinnamon and pecan seem to come across more pronouncedly than the cherry and vanilla. Pecans obviously contribute to the body and its smoothness, but this much cinnamon in a fruited sour is a little annoying. But, that's not a major fault. Overall, this is a winner and an enjoyable quaff. Like most fruited sours, it's not sour, it's not even very tart. Even with the negatives, there's more to like here, such as a great disguise of the ABV. This is probably not for a sour beer purist, but it is tasty and worth a try.

Lot of stuff going on here!! An interesting beer. Poured from a 12 oz can into a flute glass, this beer is well carbonated and bubbly. The pinkish head is delicate, bubbly and fast fading. There may be a thin strand or two of lacing at the top of the glass. The color is nice, fairly clear dark pink/orangish color with lots of bubbles and some sediment after the bubbles die down, The can describes Imperial pastry, tart and sweet cherries, vanilla cinnamon and pecans. It's all there!!!! The aroma is a sweet mixture of bakery goods, sweet cherry, and cinnamon. The mild sourness and tartness are more noticeable in the taste with the cinnamon and vanilla spiciness in the background. The finish reflects some sweetness as well. Mouthfeel benefits from all the different flavors. It seems light and crisp for such a high octane beer. The combination of tartness and sweetness is very enjoyable. Nice level of carbonation. Quite enjoyable. The first "non-lcohol bomb" I've had from this brewery.

Modest head production and poor retention. Body is hazy and cloudy with some visible particulate, but it looks fine overall.

Nose is very inviting, albeit a touch restrained. Notes of cinnamon, graham cracker, cherries, vanilla, and raspberry.

If the nose is restrained, the flavor is not. It's huge right off the bat, but not overly sweet, with notes matching the nose. Drinks easily, with no hint of alcohol, and a moderate fullness overall.

i will never not miss the old prairie when i drink these new school sours they do now, but this one was at least fun. cinnamon and cherry, vanilla and pecans, a cool and weird mix of flavors, but oddly successful. part of the goodness of this is that its not real sour, that would be a clash with the overwhelming sweetness this has, its just tart, cherry tart, and thats plenty, not looking for more acidity here. somewhat curious looking from the tap, muted in luster, kind of flat, not really showing too much red from the cherry, just lightly stained. it smells cool though, real fruit for sure, backed by the vanilla sweetness, an appealing synergy for sure, and the cinnamon is also quite robust, warming and wintery, makes this kind of cozy. the flavor is cinnamon and cherries first, and they go super well together, spicy heat and tangy fruit. the vanilla comes on in the second half, and with the lactose this must be spiked with, its all a bit too sugary, hangs on the palate a bit long and prevents any real drinkability. the pecan element is also really light, mostly on the finish, and you kind of have to go looking for it. that said, the cherry and the cinnamon are great, i dont miss more beer elements to this, which is rare for me, and overall i think its neat stuff, not as well refined as it could be, but its cool that its strong for the style and i think the unique flavors really do work. again, i miss the old prairie, but this is better than many that have come before it...

Pours an effervescent & murky Chablis color with one finger of Pinkish head. No head retention or lacing

S: Vanilla, cinnamon, fresh baked cookies

T: Follows the nose, a little blueberry muffin & dryness up front. Flavor skews more to a sweet cherry as this warms, with more cinnamon & vanilla mixed in, very much tasting like a muffin. Finishes sweet with vanilla, cinnamon & cherry muffin dryness

MF: Medium body, slight carbonation, a little sticky

Bloody expensive, glad I got to try this though, as Pastry Sours go, this is damn good
