Golden, clear color.
Clean, sweet, rich and nutty pumpkin spice on the nose.
Nose of nutmeg, spice, and cinnamon on the palate.
Moderate acidity with cider/kettle sour mouthfeel.
Overall: okay.
Great aromatics, though for me, acidity overwhelms flavor.

Look: Pours a burnished golden apple cider color with a soapy, satin white head of foam that fizzles out immediately. Leaves no lacing. There is visible sediment at the bottom of the glass after the pour.
Aroma: Apple butter, cinnamon, nutmeg, and hot apple cider with a squeeze of lemon.
Taste: Pleasantly tart; just the right amount of pumpkin flavor. It's not artificial or overtly spicy. There's also a background flavor of tart cranberry and lemon zest. Malt level is very low, but with just the right amount of caramel, malty goodness in the foreground.
Feel: Very, very refreshing for a pumpkin ale, probably the most thirst quenching pumpkin beer I've ever had. A lot of other examples of the style are overtly thick and syrupy - it's not that the body on this is thin or watery, it's definitely on the lighter side but it's the sour ale influence that really balances out the mouthfeel and keeps it from becoming cloying or overwhelmingly sticky/sweet to the tongue. Mid body, high carbonation, almost like sparkling apple cider.
Overall: Really interesting... didn't get any toasted marshmallow flavor but I honestly don't think I would have liked it if I did, and I don't even think It's necessary, as the beer is delicious without it. I never had a sour pumpkin ale before, and never thought I would because on paper (at least to me) I wouldn't think the flavors would synergize nicely.
Leave it to a brewery like Prairie Artisan Ales to reinvent the wheel and do a damn good job of it.

Murky orange color with a decent but short lived off white head.
The aroma is cinnamon, apple cider, a hint of citrus and marshmallow, interesting.
The taste starts with a tart lemon/cider note, then cinnamon/nutmeg/pumpkin, lactose and vanilla. The finish is dry and tart with a hint of lemon zest, mild bitterness.
The body is light/medium, very nice carbonation, inviting and easy to drink. Altogether, this is a surprising take on the annual pumpkin beer binge. i would not have expected a sour, I've always favored something more like a stout, but this is actually very tasty and enjoyable, spices are at a good level, not overdone as is often the case with these beers, very nice.

L: Silty orange brown, light fizzy head
S: Cloves, cinnamon, nutmeg, hiding a faint fruity sourness, a bit like apple cider.
T: Pumpkin pie spices upfront, the nutmeg stands out, quickly transitioning to tart apple, lemon, a bit of white grape sweetness, some vanilla and ginger too, and mellowing out on the finish as key lime pie.
F: Moderate carbonation, a bit acidic, smooth finish.
O: Weird, and I was anticipating weird. I’d describe it as tart key lime pie with pumpkin pie spices. Weird! But it works, and it’s actually really good? I don’t dislike sours, and I mostly buy them just to try, but I would buy this again if I saw it… Weird!

12oz can poured into a snifter
A- pours a dull orange-brown with a think foamy head that reduces to leave nothing behind
S- smells like a typical sour for the most part; some lemon tartness, apple cider. Light undertones of cinnamon and some creamy marshmallow
T- sour lemon tartness with a bit of ripe pear. Mid-palate brings out some cinnamon, the finish gives an undertone of creamy vanilla. Lingers of tart lemon
M- medium body with moderate carbonation leads to a foamy mouthfeel that continues into a tart finish
O- if I had drank this blind, I would have never known that it was intended to be a pumpkin beer, meh

October 2023. Would’ve been nice if they had made it clear that this was a sour for that reason alone I’m gonna write this though plus it doesn’t even taste very good the can is about the best thing. Would never purchase or drink again.

Gold in color with a cloudy complexion. There’s a half inch of densely packed off white foam on top. The aroma is of pumpkin pie spice, ginger, nutmeg, and marshmallow. I’m tasting pumpkin pie spice, ginger, marshmallow, nutmeg, cinnamon, and just a touch of lactobacillius. The mouth is moderately carbonated and dry.

Pours a pretty pale golden color with an inviting but quickly fleeting off white head.
Smells of a tart cinnamon reminiscent of apple cider.
Tastes slightly tart with kind of a dry cinnamon finish.
Does have a really pleasant effervescent mouth feel that almost reminded me of like a sparkling wine.
Maybe because I’m a huge fan of both sour ales and pumpkin spice things, I felt like it didn’t do either particularly well. It was just okay.

A true sour - nothing about this was muted, it was as sour as sour can be. The smell wrinkled your nose, the mouthfeel shrank your tongue, and the taste gave you those weird feelings at you tonsils. It was sour, I tell ya.
