I was pleasantly surprised. I don't like coffee flavored anything, and I really got none of that.
I get chocolate cake. It had a really nice nut brown head to it.

Deep brown pour, with a thin brownish head and light carbonation. The smell is of chocolate and mint, and the taste starts with chocolate and finishes with mint. A bit thin and heavy on the mint, but still a very enjoyable non-BA stout.

The pour is jet black with a tan head of carbonation. On the taste, the coffee & peppermint are the dominant flavors & the vanilla, & cacao are following behind. Moreover, the 8% is well hidden. Oh well, it was good to try a stout made with peppermint, vanilla, cacao, & coffee. Cheers! A-

12 ounce can, canned on 01.04.24, thanks to Brutaltruth for this can! Served in a snifter, the beer pours dark brown/black with about an inch tan head that stuck around a little while. There's also a good amount of lacing. Aroma is nice, the brew smells like peppermint, roasted malt, vanilla, cacao nibs and some coffee. Taste is pretty much just like the aroma, reminds me of Thin Mint cookies with a bit of coffee and dark chocolate flavors. Mouthfeel/body is medium, it's a bit creamy with a moderate amount of carbonation. I liked this brew, recommend this one if you like Thin Mint cookies.

From the can in a snifter. This unique imperial pours a dark brownish black
with a moderate head of khaki foam that settles to a thick ring, thin dusty layer,
and sports some nice light lacing and decent legs. Nose of vanilla, cream, char, heavy
mint, faint cocoa, and dark coffee. Flavors hit the mark with dark cocoa covered thin
mint dunked in dark coffee, cream, and light char. Mouth feel is medium full,
lightly warming, moderately coating, and finishing with a bitter coffee and
cocoa note dashed in lively mint.
Overall, a unique brew with a decently placed mint note that verges on being
over the top without being too cloying.
Cheers

lots to like about this one and cool to find it on tap! its not a huge barrel aged one, but still has a pleasingly full body than can easily support the intense flavor this packs. its done with cocoa nibs and vanilla and coffee, but the kicker is the mint, which is super hit or miss in beer, but is a hit here, and this is rich and bold without being forced or overly sweet, which is not always the case with these guys, and it ends up as one of the more drinkable stouts in their range for my money, i liked it a whole lot, and i love the name! the nose is yummy but somewhat understated compared with the flavor, so its striking to take the first pull. low shine, black not brown, minimal mocha head after a few minutes, but what stays is pretty thick, its got legs but its not the normal prairie enormity. mint is actually subtle in terms of aroma, like there is herbal freshness and light menthol here but its chocolate and roasted barley first, no issue with that for me, sweet a bit but not crazy, and for once not overdone on vanilla. the flavor leads with coffee and its both bitter and acidic so it takes my palate a second to settle into that and get to the rest of it, but the mint is there, vigorous and enlivening, the chocolate aspect is gorgeous and luscious, and the cohesiveness is strong. the quality of the base beer should not be understated either, its roasty and smooth, fuller feeling but not too sweet, some oats likely, long and hearty in the best way, and its more than adequate to support all these extras. the mint isnt hot or overly botanical but it seems real enough, loves the chocolate and coffee, its bitter enough to be balanced to me, and the whole thing is excellent, more winter than summer, but i take these kinds of things as they come. a delight, a recent prairie highlight, and a fine use of the mint, which isnt overpowering but certainly stands out. this bangs, the lower abv is a good call for this.

Purchased as a 12oz can from The Blue Door for $4.25. Poured into a cognac snifter.
L - Pours a deep oil black. Cannot see any light through the glass. One-finger deep mocha head. Decent lacing.
S - Peppermint, dark chocolate, and mineral. Chocolate pushes through the most here.
T - Follows nose closely. Bit of a hint of grain. Mild Columbian coffee finish. Leans sweet.
F - Full-bodied, with little carbonation. Sticky.
O - Not too bad! Wish the coffee notes came through more. While I won't get this one again, I'd recommend giving this a try if you're a fan of peppermint patties.
