S: Berries, peach & oranges
T: Sweet & tart orange, a little red grape, all with some berry sour patch candy & a little dryness up front. Strawberry sweet & tart, some vanilla, some orange as well. Finishes with sweet orange, vanilla some tart & sweet red grape & strawberry, pineapple latea little dryness, some leafy hops
MF: Medium body, restrained carbonation, very sticky on the teeth
Good for what it is, although I am happy with a single. Didn't seem very tropical to me

I am a big fan of Prairie’s stouts, and wanted to branch out and try some of their other offerings; this is just about the polar opposite of the famous Prairie Bomb. It’s translucent and the color of classic Gatorade, with almost no carbonation. I wasn’t especially impressed by the smell, but the taste was appealing — tart/sweet with mango, and almost no sense of any alcohol. They hint that there’s a Tropical Skittles aspect, but I didn’t feel it. If you know what you’re getting it’s not altogether unpleasant, and if you’re hot and thirsty, I think it’d hit the spot.

I found the Tropical version of Esses much more palatable than Tiny Esses.
