Black pour with no head and minimal carbonation. The smell is of pecans and bourbon, and the taste is cinnamon forward, with a little pecan. I usually enjoy Prairie’s barrel aged stouts, and this is no exception!

Poured from a 12 oz bottle that I bought at the Prairie taproom in Oklahoma City, OK.
Deepest mahogany brown color that seems clear at the edges when held up to the light. Thick but fast-clearing brown head. Light lacing and wine-like legs on the glass. Heavenly aroma is strong on cinnamon and pecans, although I don't detect overt maple. It smells for all the world like the sticky buns of my Pennsylvania childhood, which were sweet cinnamon rolls drenched in crushed pecans and a thick syrup of cinnamon and brown sugar.
The flavors bring the cinnamon more to the fore, with nutty and sugary and vanilla flavors more in the background. There are some barely detectable stout and bourbon flavors in the background. The strong cinnamon makes this seem like a holiday ale or winter warmer, which I did not get from the nose.
Thick, silky body with mouth-coating sweetness. Mild carbonation is almost undetectable. Low hops bitterness is also almost undetectable. Surprisingly mild alcohol presence for this massive ABV.
This is a delicious and interesting beer, but the cinnamon is a bit out of balance with the other major elements, for my taste.

12 oz. Bottle
Bottled On: 10/15/25
Poured into a chalice a very nice dark brown/black color, pretty nice carbonation, with a pretty nice thick/creamy/fizzy/quick one-finger tan head, and some pretty nice sticky lacing behind. The nose is very nice, malty, hoppy, very nice chocolate/toffee, with a very nice touch of cinnamon/nutmeg, bourbon, pecans, maple/vanilla, licorice, oaky. The taste is very nice, malty, hoppy, with a very nice touch of chocolate/toffee, very nice touch of cinnamon/nutmeg, very nice bourbon, maple/vanilla, licorice, oaky, with a pretty nice sweetness. Full Body, ABV is hidden very nicely, a very nice complex brew, a sipper for sure. Overall, this is a very tasty brew

12oz bottle. Neck of bottle is stamped with 'STICKY MITTENS 10/15/25 BA BBT7AM'.
Black colored body with no back lit edge. Very thin light brown colored head, which dissipates to a very thin ring. No lacing.
Aroma of a barreled aged stout, with cinnamon, maple, and vanilla.
Taste is sweet and bourbon barrel aged. Flavors of roasted malts, bourbon barrel, oak, vanilla, cinnamon, and maple syrup. Pecan background. Aftertaste revels in cinnamon and bourbon barrel.
More than medium mouthfeel. Silky and smooth texture. Slight burn from higher ABV%. Quiet carbonation.
Lots of cinnamon, maple, and vanilla surround this barrel aged stout.

Look - Pours a black color with a nice dark brown head that disappears within about a minute.
Smell - Cinnamon, maple, and vanilla. I don't notice the bourbon in the smell.
Taste - Maple, cinnamon, vanilla, and light bourbon.
Feel - Feels pretty nice, maybe just a bit too much cinnamon for my taste.
Overall - A pretty good stout, as usual, from Prairie.

Pours black like my heart or 30w used motor oil, same thing. Big cinnamon smell, sweet maple... Taste like it says. Kinda hard to find the almonds but then again they don't have much flavor to begin with. Reminds me of basic Becky edition a little. Leans more towards French toast flavor sprinkled with a heavy hand from the cinnamon shaker. Sooo good. If I see it at my local Total Wine I will not hesitate to grab a bottle. Even if it is $15.99!

Pours an effervescent chestnut/mahogany with fast-falling tan head. Zero head retention & lacing, plenty viscous
S: Pancakes, maple syrup, vanilla, great nose
T: Follows the nose, some barrel & booze up front, a little vanilla. Coffee, cinnamon, vanilla, maple syrup & barrel as this beer warms up, a little bit of pecan & chocolate. Maple syrup notes, barrel, vanilla, cocoa & cinnamon in the finish
MF: Fairly chewy, semi-firm carbonation, plenty warming
Solid BA Imp Stout, why so much cinnamon??? More Maple syrup please, drinks great for the heft

Prairie Sticky Mittens BBA Imperial Pastry Stout, 13.9% ABV. Pours black, with a ring of light-brown bubbles that left an oily sheen. Aroma is strong cinnamon, vanilla, and nuts. Taste is strong cinnamon overpowering everything else, some bourbon burn. Decent mouthfeel, overall an excellent cinnamon stout.
