Big & Bold with a touch of Mint. This Imperial Chocolate Milk Stout is kicked up a notch by using fresh picked mint in the brewing process. The milk sugar leaves a pleasant residual sweetness that is balanced with the chocolate & biscuit notes of the specialty malt that are seductively balanced with aroma of the cacao nibs and fresh mint. Look out Keebler we got a thin mint beer!

A: The beer is jet black in color. It poured with a quarter finger high tan head that gradually died down, leaving just a narrow ring of off white bubbles around the edge of the glass.
S: Moderate aromas of mint are present in the nose along with hints of milk chocolate.
T: The taste follows the smell, except that the flavors of milk chocolate are a little stronger.
M: It feels medium-bodied and smooth on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This beer is like a liquid version of an Andes mint, the type of mint you get on your bed in the evening when the hotel staff turns down the bed for you. It's not overly heavy on the palate so it is relatively easy to drink.

I bought this very nice after-dinner mint from Tavour.
MegaMint was too much for one night, but also suitable as a leftover dessert.
On the first night, it clearly and expectedly offered more foam. Smells are classic AIS, but the mint fumes enter at the end. Tastes are the same mocha/chocolate/coffee with a cleansing mint at the end. In my mouth, good; but I was expecting more viscous. As much an AIS as a standard stout, well-concealed alcohol.
For my quickie brewer review... For an eight year old, I'd like to see a more elaborate website... more about who they are and what motivates them to be in the culinary/brewing business. But Heathen's portfolio is diverse enough... or at least it doesn't just make hoppy beers. It has three locations. And the brewpub has an interesting menu, which is a lot of work to start with and particularly difficult during covid. I have never stopped in Vancouver, despite driving between Portland and Seattle several times. And based on Heathen's offerings, maybe I should stop by there.

Excellent imperial stout - though ABV and feel reminded me more of a regular stout - with a good hit of mint. No date printed on bottle. Pours a deep dark rich brown, almost black color with some off-white head and spotty lingering lacing. Smells of rich chocolate fudge, mint, caramel, vanilla, lighter medium roast coffee and nuts. Taste follows the nose, with a great-tasting mint - not artificial or overly sweet. Reminded me a little of a mint-infused mocha coffee (rather than toothpaste or an after-dinner mint or York candy). Fairly rich but a little thin on the mouthfeel, decent carbonation, one could easily be fooled into thinking this was actually a regular stout (instead of an imperial one). Very tasty, nonetheless. Good with savory dinner as well as sweet dessert.

Deep black, with red tint when looking through the edge. It had a very thin head, split the bomber with my eldest daughter and we drank it out of snifters. Sort of smells like a Thin mint.
It is a nice imperial stout with a lite chocolate nite with a touch of fig, and a subtle mint finish. It is not overly sweet. All in all a nice Imperial Milk Stout that I would buy again. Even my wife thought it was “not bad” , she likes Mexican beer and the Oatmeal Stout from Buoy Brewing, and that is about it. I’m going to have to find their tap room in Vancouver!
