Rich, strong, and warm. Clear medium amber with bubbles streaming. Modest foam. Plenty of carbonation on the tongue. Medium body with plenty of malt.

The sweetness is noticeable but seems just right for the big-boned strength of this stuff. Fruity with a nice peachy and yeasty aroma. A little more funky barnyard that most Tripels, which I happen to like.

The Belgian drying sensation takes over after some sipping. The yeast is doing its job and adds that bitter note, but it quits before taking over. The fruity malt mellows out the aftertaste. These guys like hops so there is a dose of hoppiness but the IBU is very low. There is a sharpish note and something like chestnuts.

On tap at Amplified's home at California Kebab in Pacific Beach. My wife had a tulip on tap so I was ready for another. They were nice enough to fill a growler so I will have a great nightcap brew for a few evenings. Looks like a Saison and the Anxiety IPA are on deck.
