Poured into a Seattle Beer Week pint glass. Pours a medium golden amber with a two finger white head with great retention and thick lacing. Aroma of caramel malt, citrus and tropical fruit hops, orange, grapefruit, mixed tropical fruit and a hint of dankness. Flavor is caramel and pale malt, citrus, piney and tropical hops, orange, grapefruit, pine needles, mixed tropical and light stone fruit, mildly floral. Medium bodied with light to moderate creaminess, nice mouth feel. A very compelling hop bill anchors this IPA. The malt is light caramel with a little more flavor than a pale malt. The hops are all over the place, but mostly citrus with interesting tropical and stone fruit notes and a touch of dankness. Somehow came together for me, and with a good solid bitterness and silky mouth feel, this was a winner. I'll be on the lookout for other stuff from Amplified.
