Some haze on the amber brew with plenty of foam in the Affligem chalice. The brewery makes a point of calling this a West Coast DIPA, but it is kind of a hop stew in flavor. Hops are listed as Nelson, Azacca, Centennial, and Simcoe. Nose of old oranges and pine.
Quite raw and alcohol tasting. This is rather sweet with a candied grapefruit peel taste. Flavors of mango and bitter marmalade. Moderate acidity but rather astringent and quite bitter in the aftertaste. From the 16 oz can purchased at Bine & Vine.
