On tap at the brewpub at California Kebab. Dark brown in the big nonic. Warm flavored and grainy. Dark roast malt predominates, with a tang. Some modest hoppiness plus a little resiny bitterness. It has an interesting woody, chocolate flavor
Fairly malty but with a scratch of hops to liven things up. Moderately dry, but is has a pleasing mellow malt sensation. Dark roast barley but not burnt. Brewer says it is also made with chocolate malt, brown sugar, and molasses. A pleasing quaff and one of the more interesting Stouts around San Diego.
