Poured from a bomber into a stemmed tulip glass
Pours a slightly hazy straw/hay color with 1-2 fingers of white, bubbly head that fell quickly to a thick collar leaving minor lacing. The nose is soft, floral, with some juicy grapes, lemon, pepper and a touch of wood mustiness. The taste leads with toasted malt sweetness and transitions to lemon, spicy and very floral hops, grape skins; not much barrel character. Lots of floral notes. Light in body with a nice amount of carbonation, but the finish just falls off. Overall a nice saison, light and refreshing, but lacking complexity and feels a bit one note, but a definite improvement from the base beer, Nu Saison.
