Appearance - poured from a 32 oz growler into a teku. This beer pours a deep hazy amber color with half of finger of head. For such a high abv beer the head isnt phasing me besides it has decent carbonation that is replenishing a nice lacing.
Aroma - Floraly and leafy hops up front with a strong spicy hop as well, Citrus in behind leading to caramel malts and belgian bready yeast! very nice
Taste - Again it is florally and spicy up front then grass leads you into a sweet caramel to balance out the flavor and it finishes off bitter with a bready yeast side by side. Still very smooth for what it is and the booze is well masked.
Feel - The mouthfeel is medium and carbonation is a bit under medium, It is very creamy and smooth and a very clean beer all around!
Overall - While this is my first imperian belgian IPA I have had plenty of Dipa's and Belgian IPA's and I can say what BtP did was blend these 2 styles amazingly well! they created a beer that invites you in with a very alluring aroma and dances around on your taste buds! I would love to get my hands on some more of this! cheers!

My personal favourite offering from BTP. It goes just as big on the Belgian as the IIPA and is extremely well balanced. Hoppy, fruity, boozy and smooth! Pours a glowing orange-honey that looks as exciting as it is to drink, white head with exceptional lacing all the way through.
Fantastic, bold example of a truly "Belgian" inspired IIPA!

Drinking from small glass with 32 ounce growler on table. Pours cloudy Amber colour, hard to tell how much head because of small glass. Strong beer, bitter finish. Kind of a grassy - wheaty aftertaste. Medium malty, bit of citrus taste maybe? taste Perhaps a bit strong for me, think I'm about the get buzzed!

The smell let you know it will be a great fruity beer. The tropical aroma from hops are awesome.
In mouth, there's an explosion of flavours: Orange, citrus, pineapple and a hint of resin. High ABV is covered by all of it.
Drink it fresh and cold. My best DIPA for months

This is my #1 choice so far when it comes to BtP's frequently rotating selections, and probably my favourite local beer. Apparently it has become so popular that they will be reducing the % in order to reduce fermentation time and increase the production on it, which is bittersweet.
Surprisingly hoppy for this style of beer, and it has a strong sweetness with many fruit/citrus notes. The current batch has a fairly high ABV, which doesn't come across in the taste of it...when I first bought it, I was told by the representative to "be careful", and I am inclined to agree.

This is my favourite local beer currently coming out of Ottawa and I wish that it was available more widely. Party Animal's a unique beer. The appearance is a little cloudy, but has a good colour. The smell's decent, but is deceptively rye-like. The taste is fantastic - super fruity and sweet. You would think it's a 4% ABV beer if you didn't see the label. I think that this beer really exemplifies the Beyond the Pale brewers' best attributes to bring fruitiness to a harder beer and make a VERY drinkable creation.

On-tap at Volo.
Beer is reddish amber, with a very small off-white head. Gone fast.
Belgian yeast, bubblegum and light fruits in the nose.
Taste contains bubblegum, some fruity flavours and Belgian yeast. Moderate bitterness and a bit of booze.
Full bodied, highly carbonated and a bit astringent.
Overall, not what I hoped for. This is a hard style to pull off and I don't think this one does it.
