Poured from a 22oz bomber into a stemmed Teku glass and shared with friends.
Bottle had about 6 months of age on it.
A: Pours a crystal clear reddish copper color with a thin head, lasting just a bit then falling to a thin collar with a bit of lacing.
S: The nose is soft but nice, tart, acidic, grassy and a touch of malt sweetness.
T: There is a brief hint of malt sweetness but that fades quickly to tart sourness, white pepper, dry floral hops. Not much of the barrel comes through though.
M: Medium body and plenty of carbonation keep the beer light and refreshing.
O: A really nice sour and an incredible effort for the brewery's first attempt at the style.

Tap: Poured a golden color ale with a nice size foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma consists of sour notes with light oak and light funky notes. Taste is also a good mix of tart notes with light oak and funky yeasty notes with a very well balanced acidity level. Body is about average with good carbonation. I can’t say the wine barrel treatment really came through but well enjoyable offering nonetheless with great control of acidity level.
