Actually with a lime it would taste like a corona light. Good beer.

Pours opaque, dark brown in color, with 1/2 inch head and moderate carbonation. Taste is dark cherries, light wheat, and some medicinal alcohol. Decent fruit flavored beer, that is borderline too sweet. Kind of on the fence about this one.

Pours a beautiful deep reddish amber with excellent clarity. A slightly off white, pinkish head forms.

Aroma of dark cherries, big time fruit wow. Has a slight medicinal quality similar to cherry cough syrup.

The taste is also big on cherries, has a dark ripe cherry flavor that is pretty nice upfront, but there is a runaway sweetness and more medicinal also. It's a bit of a sweet trainwreck.

Full bodied, perfectly carbonated and smooth on the palate. The beer is cloying and the aftertaste is so, but points were detracted off taste not feel for that.

Overall, this is something I would never expect from Czechvar (in Europe, Budweiser/Budvar), a "Sour Cherry Lager" according to description. Not sour in the slightest, but very Cherry. Think sour cherries, coated in malt sugar heavily. This may be a stab at the U.S. craft/specialty beer market. Fruit beers are gaining steam but I don't think it will be very successful. The medicine taste makes it tough to drink after so long.
