L: This is a very dark, opaque strong ale with a sizeable light-tan head. The lacing was lacking but otherwise a visually appealing draft pour.
S: Slightly sweeter scented than the standard strong ale, with caramelized notes.
T: A delicious pour to be sure. Easliy drinkable with a hint of caramel and spice while masking it's strong alcohol content.
F: A little bitey on the tongue but largely a smooth drinking beer.
O: If not yet obvious, this is an easy drinking beer. Delicious, smooth, and high alcohol, what's not to love from a brewery in Boulder, CO.

Served on-draught into a stem-goblet at West Flanders in December 2012. Reviewed from notes.
A: Pours a floater ring of beige colour, decent thickness, and bad retention. There's no real head. Body colour is a dark caramel-amber. No yeast particles are visible. No bubble show.
Sm: Caramelized malt, biscuit malt, and hints of toasted malt. An average strength aroma.
T: Muted caramel, biscuit malt, and diluted dark fruit esters. Some alcohol heat. No real yeast character. Bland and boring. Meh.
Mf: Smooth and wet. Carbonation is decent. Too thin. Weak for the style.
Dr: Drinkable but muted and restrained. Hides its ABV okay. A bland dull offering from West Flanders. Quite underwhelming for the style.
