A: cloudy; pale gold in color; 1 finger finely pored white head that receded to a thick collar; no lacing;

S; passion fruit with a little salt, although the aroma reminded me of the smell from an asphalt plant that was up the street from my childhood home (I know, weird);

T: passion fruit throughout, with a mild tartness coming in at the middle and a bit of salt at the end;

M: medium bodied; moderate carbonation; moderately dry finish;

O: really nice flavor;

Guess I expected this version to be a bit sweeter with the addition of passion fruit. Not that I am complaining but to me it came off more as a tart grapefruit. Still very sour, smooth and went down easy. Love these gose beers in this series.

Interesting Gose. The Pasionfruit dominates but does not obliterate the Gose characteristics of the beer. Pours a hazy yellow/gold color from a pint can to a pint glass with a medium foamy white head and some lacing. Head retention is good. Aroma includes the passionfruit but also some yeast, saltiness and hint of wheat. Taste is solid also but the passionfruit does not totally take over the flavor. The salt, yeast and some cloves are also noticeable, You definitely know it is a Gose. Mouthfeel is light, refreshing with some salt and wheat bitterness to add tartness as well as the sweet passionfruit taste. An escellent summertime choice.

-canned 03.24.17 consumed 07.04.17 in spiegelau ipa glass.

A: Dense and hazy, brass-lemon coloring has a strong feverish pitch of effervesce within. A rapidly forming pearl white head rises quickly in the vessel with a much slower lapse. The capping is creamy, frothy in texture leaving not much aside in the way of lacing. Leaves with a polished surface.

S: Big nose of freshly squeezed grapefruit juice, with a touch of sea salt. A bit of sour fruitiness moves in making way to some old musky scents of hay and barn wood.

T: Tart grapefruit flavor, seems a bit thin a first, but reasonable due to style. A bit of saltiness mingles with tart semi-dry lemon slices, with some wheat backing. Small torpical sourness, watermelon and sour oranges finishes out.

M: Tart mouthful, light-medium, very smooth texture, mineral feel, light carbonation.

O: A nice level of finishing sourness per style, smooth, tart, good drinkability for summertime enjoyment by poolside.
