OUR THIRD IN A SERIES of IPLs clocks in at a mere 3.8% ABV, but don’t let that fool you – it packs a huge tropical, bright citrus hop punch with a smooth premium English malt base. The session lager that drinks well above its weight class.

This was on tap at McGillicuddy’s Five Corners, Essex Junction. The appearance was a hazy pale orange color with a bar pour’s kind of slim white foamy head that dissipated at a quick pace. No lace. The aroma leaned towards the piney bitterness at first and then caved into a more delicate balance of that along with some citrusy hops and a sly little malt at the end. The flavor was basically the same along with the cleanliness of the malt and the way it moves so smooth with a nice bittersweetness right on into the aftertaste and guide into the finish. The palate was between light and medium bodied with a good sessionability about it. Carbonation felt fine. ABV definitely felt appropriate. Overall, nice session IPA or did I hear this is an India style lager? If the latter, the lager yeast was mostly hidden other than seemingly only to be used to smooth out the "bitter edges" of this one.

Had on tap. Pours hazy, gold in color, with minimal head. Taste is tangerine, lemon, and toasted malt. Light bodied and slightly bitter. Juicy and super flavorful for the ABV. I like other SingleCut beers more, but this is solid.

On tap at Blu Wolf Bistro in Rochester, NY.
This one pours a light and slightly hazy yellow-ish, with a small head, and a smaller amount of lacing.
Smells like pine, grapefruit, and all them NZ hops- lots of melon.
This is definitely tasty, but the lower alcohol is a bit of a detriment. I've had beers of this size that weren't watery and thin, but this definitely tastes watery and thin. There is some nice grapefruit and melon, so it certainly tastes good, it just falls a little flat for me.
This is very light and watery, with a good level of carbonation.
Not too bad here- but it's very far from the best this awesome brewery has to offer.
