Creamy golden color thick hazed with 2 fingers full cream with extra tight bead lace coats the glass
The smell is fruity tropical hops that exemplify citrus and mango with melon-like notes reminiscent of papaya and faint herbal accents mango with ambosia of pineapple and sweet cream in the aroma
the feel is great with both resinous oily hops and subtle yeast blend with semi sweet malt and mild alcohol with medium carbonation and semi dry finish
The taste is tangy with tropical hop astringency and lightly bitter yet juicy fruit taste of citrus zest with slight dried pineapple and lime yet hints of mango with herbal elements in the hop profile with a peppery finish and light alcohol warming in the back. The malt supports the yeast and hops with smooth gentle sweet foundation that is in synergy with lingering hop flavors.
Overall this is a great Double dry hopped New England Imperial IPA glad I picked this up for 5.99 at Wegmans

Poured from a tallboy can into a Dogfish Head tulip
L: Cloudy medium golden pour with thick fluffy white head. Great retention and lacing.
S: Sweet and fruity... citrusy and tropical.
T/F: Sweet up front... big juice bomb with grapefruit, mango, and pineapple. Very modest bitterness follows with stone fruit... peach/apricot, tangerine, and more tropicals. Oily on the tongue.... medium bodied.
O: An all-out juice bomb... super flavorful.... easy drinking, and dangerous with the ABV. One of Singlecut's best.

I spent New Beer Sunday (Week 724) in a CANcerted effort to drink, review and rate a buncha SingleCut CANned beers in the furtherance of The CANQuest (tm). Sadly, my backlog was greater than the time allotted & I was cut short before my intended finish line. I am now picking up where I left off over the course of the coming week. Viva The CANQuest (tm)!
From the CAN: "Rulpsen says: 'Come visit our brewery!"; "SingleCut Beersmiths is proud to maintain the American tradition of beer locally made from craft by zealots/lunatics who believe hard work, truth, pride and passion should always come before profit."; "Mastery Knows No Shortcut"; "95 IBU".
So many CANs, so many Crack!s, so little time! That is how it often feels, so I like to get right to it with a C-Line Glug. I watched as it was pouring with an utter lack of clarity so I felt CANpelled to CANtinue & let the chips fall where they may. I have never advocated for filtration since in so doing, flavor begins to get stripped away. In the case of these guys, I am going to begin making an exception. Stylistically, an AIIPA should NOT be a deeply-cloudy Yellow-Gold (SRM = 4 - 5), but such CANtinues to be the case in just about every beer that I have had from them. I CAN't, in good CANsience, give them high marks for appearance & rate to style. Yer hurting my heart

It all comes down to whether I want another after the first. The look, smell and taste of this ale are captivating and I am glad there is dynamite artwork on the label reminding one not to put down too many of these. The beer has a bit more flavor then then the other DIPAs which is why I rated this so high. Great finish on this ale!
