A collaboration with Threes Brewing, a rustic lager, brewed with locally sourced malt, spelt, and buckwheat from the Hudson Valley and Connecticut. A touch of noble hops impart a spicy earthy citrus character, but the star of the show is the malt- rich sourdough, warm soba, whole grain seeded bread, and a double crisp finish thanks to a unique new German lager yeast strain. Add a month or two in our horizontal tanks.

Good example of a rustic lager. Great malty aroma.

A: The beer is slightly hazy light yellow in color and has a light amount of visible carbonation. It poured with a quarter finger high white head that left a small patch of bubbles on the surface and a narrow collar around the edge of the glass.
S: Light aromas of bready malts are present in the nose.
T: The taste follows the smell and has light to moderate flavors of bready malts along with delicate notes of citrus and hints of floral hops. No bitterness is perceptible.
M: It feels light- to medium-bodied and clean on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This lager is all about peace in the valley and has a delicate balance between malts and hops.

I didn't select my brew the last few times to the fancy beer store, I call the owner and just ask him to put together a box of cool stuff for me. He knows I like to try many different things and money is not an object.

This one really is a rustic lager. Wow, something out of the ordinary. It pours all foamy and yellow. The aroma is strong with good finishing hops. The taste is not too swett, nice and complex. It does not feel like a euro lager, that's for sure.

Recommended. Like all Singlecuts, the price is too high.

Just purchased a 4-pack at Yardley Beer. Was looking for a Threes beer, Yardley had one but didn’t realize this Singlecut was a collab with Threes. I didn’t realize it until I got home. Looking for a break from IPAs. This was a treat.

Look: slight, yellowish haze similar to a wit beer
Smell: yeasty, malty, bread-like smell typical of lagers. Very nice.
Taste: surprisingly and pleasantly crisp flavor.
Feel: continuing with flavor, Strong malt to start with crisp faint bitterness at the end giving it an incredible clean feel. Malt makes its presence known, but sweetness doesn’t linger. Carbonation is noticeable and contributes nicely to the overall, balanced feel.
Overall: this is a fantastic beer. I’ll be looking for it again.
