I'M THANKFUL FOR MY COUNTRY LAGER. We went back to our simpler roots for this rustic style lager, brewed with all New York State grown ingredients, including some beautiful small batch rye from the Hudson Valley. Crisp and dry, with notes of whole grain bread, barley meal, and toasty grain with a gently grassy hop aroma of dried lemon peel, earth, and sweet flowers, and peppery rye. Simple, clean, and the perfect pairing with a light hike through the back forty. Clear that worried mind.

An all NY state ingredient beer during NYC Beer week is an appropriate release. This one pours yellow straw, a bit of cloudiness. White head that falls somewhat quick, and leaves medium to thick lacing down the glass. Nose is underripe citrus, lemon zest, rind, grass, hops, the back of grandmas pantry. Taste is bread, pepper, grassy hops, flowery. Medium body.

A: The beer is slightly hazy light yellow in color and has a light amount of visible carbonation. It poured with a half finger high bright white head.
S: Light to moderate aromas of grassy hops are present in the nose along with hints of lemon peel.
T: The taste follows the smell and has additional notes of floral hops. There is a light to moderate amount of bitterness.
M: It feels light- to medium-bodied on the palate and has a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This lager is easy to drink and has some refreshing properties.
