Pours a cloudy, copper/orange color. 1/4 inch head of an off-white color. Decent retention and decent lacing. Smells of yeast, sweet malt, pale malt, and fruit. Fits the style of a Saison / Farmhouse Ale. Mouth feel is sharp and clean, with an average carbonation level. Tastes of sweet malt, yeast, hint of hops, slight smoke pale malt, and fruit. Overall, I didn't taste any purported blueberry, but still good feel, body, and blend.

Hot dog meets the bush, yea I get it. I actually saw tint of blue as I poured this for a second forgetting about the blueberry mix. Actual color after the pour is the color of a hot dog. I guess a blend of yellow mustard and blueberry. Poppy head and modest lace retention.

Aroma is intriguing. Lemon pepper zestiness and yeast. Sour from blueberry and a sweetness as from a fruity Berliner. Just love Saisons especially this time of year running into spring.

Taste is exceptional. Very bright with lemon spice leading the way ensued by yeast strains. Finishes on the sweeter side of malt balanced extremely well with some fruity tartness.

Mouthfeel is medium. Nice sparking effervescence enough to not let the sugars lay too long.

I'm about blown away by this. This is Anchorage Brewery caliber, not taking anything away from Spiteful or Denali Brewery. Spiteful and Denali dreamt up an out-the-box Saison sensation. For me this is a definite quality Saison with a Berliner yeasty and tart twist from the blueberry. Seek this special release out. Tremendously tremendous! Props!

A: Pours a ruby pink grapefruit juice color. Fizzy bright white head with minimal lacing and settles quickly.

S: Smell is unique. Definitely getting the blueberry sweetness. A small bit of yeasty esters. Bready and some sweet malts. More yeast and blueberries than anything though.

T: Follows the nose. A bit one-dimensional, albeit not a bad one-dimension. There's a hint of smoke, but the predominant flavor is the tart blueberry taste, which meshes with the saison yeast well - just not much else going on.

M: Heavy carbonation. Light body. Refreshing. Would be a nice, clean, crisp beer to be enjoyed poolside in the hot summer months.

O: Not a bad beer, just not very complex. Tastes eerily similar to my blueberry saison homebrew I brewed a couple summers ago. It's definitely refreshing, nonetheless.

Thanks Thomas for sharing this one!
Served in a small tasting goblet, quick review from notes.

Pours an amber orange color with a slight haze, billowing head of foam that almost had a pinkish tint from the blueberry, but hard to say really.

Yeast esters in the aroma, peppery and spicy saison yeast, like most American saisons.

Taste was a bit more on the fruity side, indistinct berry and peppery yeast again. Medium bodied with ample carbonation, dry peppery finish. Overall it was ok, but I'm just kind of burnt out on the overly yeasty, spicy American saison category.
