Golden Lager. A crisp, clean-drinking Golden Lager brewed for Chicago’s Cubby Bear. More flavor than your average lawnmower beer, but just as crushable. Built for ballgames, barstools, and Chicago loyalty.

5/11/26 - (Spiteful Brewing Brewery) (Chicago, Illinois) Brewery Notes: $7 + tax nonic glass 16 oz pour, 4.5% ABV. Golden Lager. A crisp, clean-drinking Golden Lager brewed for Chicago’s Cubby Bear. More flavor than your average lawnmower beer, but just as crushable. Built for ballgames, barstools, and Chicago loyalty.
Appearance: Unfiltered orange golden pour, minimal creamy white head and generous thin lacing above a creamy cover above the base plus a bubbly ring around the rim. Medium sustained carbonation.3.75
Aroma: Fain aroma, citrus, cracker and pepper. Like what I’m gathering, could likely be my sinuses. 3.5
Taste: Much fuller taste, grapefruit, citrus, lemon. Cracker still there, pepper lighter. The fruit flavors not what I expected out of a Golden Lager, but digging what’s in the glass. 3.75
Mouthfeel: Gentle carbonation, drinks light and easy, watery thin body. Balanced, lightly sweet, citrus lemon cracker finish. 3.5
Overall: This is a good house beer for a Wrigleyville bar. Didn’t expect thee fruit flavors and orange golden color based on the style description, but enjoying the experience. 3.5
