Picked this up with six other beers at Bine & Vine. Rip Current is one of my favorite breweries in San Diego, probably on my Mt. Rushmore, so this was exciting to have. From a Facebook post, “Aloha Mr. Haze: An insanely juicy and tropical entry in our Hazy IPA lineup. Packed with Equanot, Galaxy & Mosaic hops.”
Poured a light amber hazy color with four fingers of rocky white head. Lots of bubbles creeping up along the sides of the glass. Almost perfect spiderweb lacing. Excellent retention. (Sight - 4.75)
Smelled the three mentioned hops, in order Galaxy, Ekuanot and Mosaic. Also dank pine, papaya, black pepper, green pepper, citrus zest, herbal, grass and floral. All three hops once again from the can. (Smell - 4.25)
Taste wasn’t quite as good. Got Ekuanot, Galaxy, dank pine, papaya, black pepper, green pepper, grass, herbal, citrus zest, Mosaic, melon, stone fruit, mango and peach skin. (Taste - 4.00)
Medium body. Oily texture. Average carbonation. Spicy dank finish. (Feel - 4.00)
Another good beer from Rip Current. Not surprised. (Overall - 4.00)
