Cask at Crosse Keys, City of London. 3.9%. Golden copper with minimal white head. Aroma berry candy and hint of bread. Says "subtle hint of raspberries" but taste is mostly strong dry raspberries with some underlying bready yeastiness. Similar to a berry fruit lambic. Good in that sense but not good unless you want a berry-tasting beer. Fruity but not a winter warmer. I think it's a good beer, and quite good for a fruit beer, but not what I look for in winter.

Cask. No sparkler. Light to mid amber. Slight haze. Medium dense head.
Fruity indeed. Hedgrow berries but mostly raspberry. Earthy hop.
The raspberry shines upon tasting. Big bitter hit with a small amount of balancing malt.
Well carbonated for cask. Light to moderate body.
A welcome change to most Christmas labelled beers.
