This American IPA is made with Falconer's Flight Hops. Strong citrus profile, with a good balance of bitter to malt and a good clean finish.

Had Moonlighter IPA at the Druid City taproom, Tuscaloosa, on poorly-poured draft into under-filled shaker.
Pours deep amber-gold with clarity and 1-finger, near-white head, with excellent retention, leaving Belgian lace etched down the glass. Big melon and mild herbal and floral aromas off pour, but soon diminishing, with some tart stone fruit, sweet tea and mild caramel malt aromas as warms. On tasting, begins smooth malt and sweet melon, then mild caramel, with some hop resin, before an ever more warming and nicely bitter, piney finish.
Rather an old-fashioned, midwest or even east-coast American IPA, but well-crafted and not boring.

I got a can of this beer from my good friend and old neighbor from the 'Wego. It poured a clear golden with white head that is leaving some lace. The scent had faint dank pine notes. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with semi sweet malt base with fresh spruce pine presence. The mouthfeel was medium in body and had good carbonation. Overall it is a great beer.

12oz can. Medium golden, patchy head. Woody, grainy aroma, caramel, minor astringency. Taste brings some sweetness, slick, but finishes with a hoppy bite.

Not great. Too much residual bitterness, and not enough good hop qualities to balance the underlying malt bill. This used to be way better.

Appearance: pours a medium, translucent gold color with a sticky white one finger foam head. Retains nicely.
Aroma: Herbal, grassy, biscuity, orange peel.
Taste: Well balanced. Caramel malt up front. Grassy and citrus peel in the mid. An almost herbal and earthiness at the end. Finishes with a subtle hint of booze and a bitterness that slowly intensifies as it lingers.
Overall: Most definitely a solid Brew.

This beer pours up a medium gold with a nice one finger head. Retention is good and web like lacing can be observed on the glass as it empties.
The smell is mostly grasses, biscuit, and orange peel.
Taste wise, sweet caramel malts dominate the front end, followed by a finish that is pine, grapefruit, and orange peel.
The feel is medium bodied with a crisp element and average carbonation.
I've never had a beer from this brewery before but if this one is an indication of overall quality, then I look forward to more.
