Cask. Very dark brown. Dense head.
A complex mixture of autumn fruit, caramel, bread, some light chocolate and liquorice.
The taste reflects the aroma. Quite sweet.
Smooth feel. Medium body.
I prefer my milds to have a lower ABV.

Half pint at Wetherspoons in Greenock. Lightish peaty colour (not that dark for a mild) with an offwhite 'spoons head. Surprisingly smells like pear. A slightly soapy yet acidic pear start before an earthy, maybe slightly peppery malt dominated flavour. There's a hint of mushroom and a little woodiness. Quite interesting: a fair deal going on for a mild. The pear flavour becomes less dominant the more i drink.
