Bottle. Almost black with a thick, frothy, tan head. Sliding lace marks.
Rich coffee aroma. Chocolate and prunes noted but rather distant.
An initial fruity sweetness quickly makes way to espresso and dark chocolate providing a medium bitter finish.
Full-bodied with a smooth carbonation.
The best of this year's 171 series.
Retasted May '24 - now less espresso and more fruit. If anything there has been an improvement in flavour.
