OVERALL: A complex and interesting beer, with a decent balance between citrus tartness, earthy bitterness, and esthery sweetness, with the sweetness winning out. Has lots of potential.
Appearance: Cloudy, straw-pale gold (2-3 SRM) colour, with a frothy, off-white head that quickly dissipates.
Aroma: Grapefruit and artisanal honey thanks to the yuzu.
Taste: Subtle tart, yuzu citrus (grapefruit) forward, with estery anise, banana and mandarin undertones.
Mouthfeel: Light, slight acidic astringency, with an effervescent impact thanks to the bottle conditioning
Finish: Mellow finish, tangy and dry. Starts with sweet estery flavours (bannana, and ends with a bitter herbal earthiness (oregano, rye bread), complements of the purple shiso.
Notes: A collaboration with Legends Haul Supply Company, a local grocery distribution company. Bottle conditioned and vegan friendly
