Horti-Glory is a farmhouse ale brewed with Riverbend Malt and fermented with our house culture of Brettanomyces. The addition of seasonal elderflowers, hyssop, and honeysuckle transform the rustic house culture into a lovely floral brett saison.

Pale bubbly gold with a large white foam that very slowly settles to a thick lumpy blanket leaving chunky coral fuzz on the glass.
Smell is grass and yellow apple with light floral notes followed by some hay, brett and green grape.
Brett plays well with the floral notes, lending a slight grassy funk while floral notes add bitterness without being overpowering. This balance allows room for Pilsener-like qualities of sweet corn, white grape and even yellow apple.
The body is extremely light, airy and frothy, while the finish is semi-dry.

Bottle shared by someone while waiting in line at CBC 2016, last session (whoever you are, thanks, man!). Honey, floral hops and a bit of brett in the background. Light and easy to drink.

From bottle dated 10-2-15. Poured into Chimay goblet. Very fine bubbled white 1 finger head. Great retention. Smell is very mellow with hints of fresh bread. The taste is very smooth and semi tart. No hop presence. Very mild tasting for style. It's hard to make out the wild flowers but I know they are there. Overall a very good saison worth seeking out when In WNC.
