My housemates managed to snag this one as a taster after it had apparently been discontinued. It pours a hazy dark yellow with a lingering white head. The smell is of mango, yeast, and sour apple with a hint of sweet spice. Its flavor mostly follows the nose, now with cardamom stepping into the spotlight. The sour aspect is only mild, with an emphasis on fruit and spice flavors. It all works to create a well-balanced drink. Khatta Masala is very reminiscent of a spiced wine in both flavor and mouthfeel. The ABV is about 7%, but it could pass for higher. Maybe this is just because of the age of the bottle we had.

I would recommend it, but
A: Wicked Weed doesn't brew it anymore
B: Even if you do find a bottle, it is very expensive. For us, it was $18, and that was a markdown.
