A smooth golden milk stout emulating the velvety white chocolate in Chuao’s Golden Goodness bar. The rich, creamy flavors of milk and chocolate blend together with hints of caramel and toffee. We also used a special blend of coffee from local shop, Por Vida!

Reviewed as: Milk / Sweet Stout
Glass: Tioga-Sequoia 13-oz. tulip
Price: $3.50
From: Trader Joe’s in College Area (San Diego), Calif.
Purchased: July 30, 2021
Consumed: Sept. 22, 2021
Misc.: Canned on June 24, 2021
Grabbed six singles and a 6-pack of Coronado Weekend Vibes at the campus Trader Joe’s on the way home from work. Untappd description was “A smooth golden milk stout emulating the velvety white chocolate in Chuao’s Golden Goodness bar. Poured a medium copper semi-clear color with 2-to-3 fingers of frothy off-white head. Could see a lot of bubbles coming up along the sides of the glass. World-class lacing. Almost perfect retention. (Sight - 4.75)
Smelled white chocolate, vanilla, roasted coffee, caramel, toffee and hints of hazelnut. Not as good out of the can but added a smidgeon of butterscotch. (Smell - 4.25)
Tasted almost as good as the nose. In order white chocolate, roasted coffee, vanilla, caramel, toffee, hazelnut, ashtray and burnt toast. (Taste - 4.00)
Medium body. Creamy texture. Average carbonation. Long, bitter finish. (Feel - 4.25)
About as good as I could hope for overall. Outstanding. (Overall - 4.00)
