From: Windmill Farms in Del Cerro (San Diego), Calif.

Misc.: Canned on Dec. 15, 2021
Saw this one before on my last trip to Windmill Farms but for some reason or the other I didn’t grab a can. Back of the can read “Nacht Lager Bock is a dark, bottom-fermenting, German lager with smooth and intense characteristics that develop from its longer lagering time than traditional, lighter lagers.” Flavor profile was “This dark, amber-hued lager carries a robust malt character for a taste that is incredibly rich and toasty with slight hints of caramel.”
Poured a deep amber clear color with 1-to-2 fingers of frothy khaki-white frothy head. Just could see a few bubbles coming up from the bottom of the glass. Very good spotty lacing. Very good retention. (Sight - 4.00)
Smelled caramel, toffee, plum, dark fruit, roasty malts, toasted grain and wheat bread. About as good from the can. (Smell - 3.75)
Tasted better than the nose. In order got caramel, toffee, toasted grain, toasty malts, plum, date, dark fruit and wheat bread. (Taste - 4.00)
Medium body. Creamy texture. Soft carbonation. Slightly bitter finish. (Feel - 4.25)
Outstanding overall. Glad I picked up a can. (Overall - 4.00)
