Poured into a Petrus Oud Bruin glass.
I find this to be a fine example of the style! It has the sour, maltiness, and taste of an Oud Bruin. Not a style that many brewers take on, but for those familiar with the style, this is a fine representation!

Thanks to JLindros for sharing this bottle.
A - Poured into a Kate the Great tulip a hazy chestnut brown with a thin wispy head that fades to leave next to nothing.
S - Big aromas of buttery oak, light acidity and tartness. Some malty notes, little caramel and brown sugar. Some light wine.
T - Taste is similar to the nose, lots of buttery oak, bitter tannins, oak, caramel, light wine. Brown sugar as well. Not cohesive at all.
M - Mouthfeel has next to no carbonation, still, little slimy.
O - Overall this was a terrible beer. Super all over the place, can't come up with any redeeming qualities of this beer. Excellent job on the pond scum mouthfeel.

Pours a dark murky brown color, light fizzy head disappears very quickly, decent legs
Nose sweet brown malts with little caramel and toasty malt but also a bit sour, a little vinegary, hint of chocolate, big buttery oak and hint of red wine, all the components it should have but doesn't seems to be as inviting as I expected
Taste more chocolate and brown malts, cocoa, somehow big chocolate and brown malts but doesn't homogenize with the tart sour malt vinegar and acidity, then some bitterness, big buttery oak and light red wine tannin, everything just clashes with each other, lingering bitter and flemmy acidity
Mouth is med bod, almost no carb, some acidity and little flemmy
Overall this was a mess, sour acidity, tannin oak barrel, little vinegary, buttery barrel, chocolate, everything clashes somehow, sorry guys this was not good
