Poured from a nitro tap into a pint glass. Pours pitch black with a light brown head. Smells of dark roasted grain. Tastes of dark roasted grain with some chocolate. Beer is light bodied and easy drinking good carbonation. Overall, a very good beer.

Taste: True to style, black roasted malts with notes of coffee beans, tobacco, dry finish, with creamy nitro mouthfeel. Same with the nose. Black with a reddish hue, mostly opaque, with large creamy nitro head and stick lace on glass. Medium body almost on the lite side. I could have several. 25 IBUs

On-tap at 3 Cellars, Franklin, WI:
Pours black with a lasting tan head. Plenty of trailing lace slides down the glass with ample stickage.
The smell is of rich chocolate and deep-roasted coffee.
The taste is of chocolate, coffee with subtle earthy notes. Very dry, roasty finish.
Smooth. Not much flavor lingers, but dryness does.
A very dry Irish dry stout. Easy to drink and enjoyable, it's a very nice interpretation of the style.

On firkin. Watery and thin. No barrel notes and very little roast (or anything else for that matter).

On firkin, with oak and whiskey. Big chocolate and vanilla flavor. Not much notes of whisky
