Bright and citrusy Cascade and piney Chinook hops hit your nose first followed by a roasted maltiness on the back end. Dark and malty, wonderfully bitter, bright and balanced, your first sip wont be your last!

22 oz bottle:
Pours black with a thin wispy head. Lacing sticks.
The smell is of dark roast with a hint of licorice/anise, some pine/resin.
The taste is dark - sweet and roasty. Pine/resin adds to the complexity without clashing.
An enjoyable Black Ale - nice choice of hops - everything blends together well.

One of the better offerings in the flight at the brewery.
Dark brown with a ruby glint towards the bottom of the glass. Plenty of sticky concentric rings of lace. Creamy surface texture of light tan foam. 4
Aroma is roasty with a slight piney hop note. Taste is similar, with a resiny bitterness that lingers into the dry aftertaste. Clean and smooth feel. Overall this one had few flaws and was a standout. 4/4/4/4.
