Brown pour, no head or lacing. Nose is boozy, hits of vanilla, oak and chocolate, taste buds in complete agreement on that. It seems a bit thin for the style. A really nice beer. This is from 2022, weighs in at comfy 12%.

2022 edition.
Jet black, nearly a finger of creamy mocha foam, no lacing. Patchy surface skim.
Aroma is milk chocolatey, mildly sweet vanilla.
Taste is a little more bourbon forward, woody, vanilla, bittersweet chocolate.
Creamy texture, heat is in check, body is medium.
Overall it’s balanced and tasty, doesn’t reinvent the wheel, but it’s drinkable and that goes a long way with BA stouts.

This was the 2017 Bourbon Barrel version of this Imperial stout. Taste: Complex notes of oak, bourbon, malt, hint of vanilla bean notes with big boozy warming mouthfeel.
Big woody, Bourbon barrel almost smokey, alcohol nose. Black, opaque, small head and lace. Full body. As it warmed the finish rounded off, but still what a kick of 13 ABV.
