Strawberry Wheat

This beer pours a murky light golden color. There's a decent 2 finger white head to this beer poured from the can. The head retention is ok, but not the best. There's just a slight bit of lacing on the glass.
The nose has a nice strawberry aroma. This aroma is also backed up by a "wheat" beer aroma (cloves, banana).
Taste - There's a lot of strawberry up front, and the strawberry continues throughout. The backside has hints of a wheat beer flavor. I get cloves and banana mixed in. These flavors aren't strong, but there.
The body is lighter, but this is expected. Somewhat crisp feeling, and a bit bubbly.
This is a very easy drinking beer with a good amount of flavor.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

i can see the appeal here, but this one wasnt really for me. a little too much sweetness from the berry gives it an artificial flavor in some respects, like a strawberry candy, and although the flavor isnt fake, the sugar content makes it seems that way. hazy white blonde beer, looks good with an inch of white head on it and just a light washed out pink tint. the nose is all fruit, and the yeast is a little weird in the taste, winey and maybe like it was fermented a few degrees warmer than desirable. the fruit flavor is intense, all the way though it, almost at the expense of it tasting like beer at all, although the slightly tannic wheat reminds me that it is. on a hot summer day i see this being attractive to those who prefer flavored ales and the less hoppy session type of beers. the sugar limits me to one glass, but i get what they were going for here, and this its well done on those grounds.
