Poured from a 12 OZ bottle bought at the local Kroger into a pint glass.
Aroma- Corn, wheat and some hops, OK smell.
Appearance- Pours a light clear golden color with a small white head
Taste- Has an ok flavor, hops and wheat with a clean finish
Palate- A light to medium bodied beer with moderate carbonation.
Overall- A slightly better than average beer.

From BeerAdvocate Magazine #73 (Feb 2013):
To be honest, we’ve never heard of him. Appreciation for a legend equals a beer branded after you. As for the beer, contract brewed with marketing nostalgia behind it. A label beer perhaps, for what it is worth this hom hum lager is what it is supposed to be … a plain drinkable lager that would be fitting on a hot day whacking a ball around.
STYLE: American Pale Lager
ABV: 4.8%
AVAILABILITY: Year-round
LOOK: Clear pale straw, wispy lacing
SMELL: Cooked corn, porridge, hay, faint alcohol
TASTE: Solid crispness, lighter body, thin maltiness, grassy, pithy, cooked veggies, bone dry, muted hoppiness, vague bitterness, semi-clean finish
