im not sure anyone would actually classify this one as a berliner technically speaking, but it certainly isnt a wild ale, and in the absence of a generic sour beer category here, this is what seems most appropriate, a quick front end lacto souring, but a nice beer overall, very summery. its a nitro dispensed sour brewed with mixed berries and lactose. it pours a gorgeous pink with a slight orange hue, creamy looking at first from the tap, but the nitro head settles fast it it looks and feels a little flat after a few moments. drinking faster yields better results. the aroma is nice, i get more strawberries than other berries here, both sweet and tart, a little preserved and sugared, but good and natural enough. some raspberry tang too is here, and a lightly piquant but fairly mild lacto profile overall. the milk sugar i think is unnecessary, its always weird to me in a sour, there is some clash with the acidity i dont love, and there is enough sweetness in the fruit that it doesnt add much for me. the berries taste natural, and even though there isnt much grain flavor, there is nice body here to support the fruit, its not all broken down by the acid. i wish the nitro creaminess hung around a little longer, but i thought this was quite good. these guys have come a really long way since they first opened up, most improved award i would say...

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
